About Us

If you haven’t met Amy yet, she’s the passionate Owner and Director of The Performer’s Place. Her journey into the world of performing arts schools began with Busta Groove, an after-school street dance club. It wasn’t long before she expanded, opening Groove Box Academy of Performing Arts in 2022. In just two years, the academy grew to offer classes six days a week in two locations!
 

In 2024, Amy brought everything together under one name—The Performer’s Place—to create a thriving, all-in-one home for performers of all ages.
 

With training from Italia Conti, Mountview, and PPA, and years of experience as a performer in shows like Bat Out of Hell, Closer to Heaven, and Get It On, Amy brings her industry knowledge and passion to every aspect of the school.

Behind Amy is a talented and dedicated team who share her commitment to making each class fresh, exciting, and welcoming. Together, they’re always working to inspire and nurture creativity, confidence, and fun in every performer who walks through the door.
